When deciding on a generator size, we recommend considering a machine with 20% more delivery capacity than required. This will prevent overloading and prolong the lifetime of the unit. Generators are manufactured to run at 80% of its maximum output when at sea-level and in a neutral climate. Factors such as altitude and temperature can affect the efficiency of the engine therefore, creating less power.

Generator Limitations of use:
Do not use more than 50% of your generator’s rated load for your “First Step Load”. Do not use more than 75% of your generator’s rated load for your “Running Load”. These limitations are set to account for any spikes or drops in current that naturally occur in the combustion process of fuel powered generators. All our products are compliant with national and international safety standards and regulations.
