What is likely to go wrong with an x-ray machine and how much are the parts going to cost me?

X-Ray Scanners

A key issue we stress to our customers to consider when buying a security x-ray machine is the power supply availability. It is imperative that the power going to the machine is stable / regulated and that when the power trips or goes off that there is a back-up (ups) to shut the machine down properly. Many of our call-outs and spare part replacements are power related. The most expensive part is the generator tank, this is the nucleus of the machine and can cost upwards of $10,000 to replace. Other common failures that are normally power related is the computer. To replace this can cost around $5,000.
